разумеется, та же история, что и с to get - идиоматические обороты разной степени грубости имеются в изобилии. Как и куда только ни ходят и ни посылают!Go (to) — сходить по-маленькому.
Go to the can (to) — сходить по-большому.
Go to the john (to) — универсальное, мягкое и наиболее популярное выражение для все тех же "сходить", в обоих вариантах.
Go bananas (to) — сойти с ума (слегка и в обоих смыслах).
Go haywire (to) — почти то же, но с оттенком потери ориентации, а не перевозбуждения, как в предыдущем случае. Если относится к неодушевленному предмету - поломаться.
Go for it! — попробуй, давай!
Go-go — молодежные танцы, дешевая (в смысле "cheesy", низкопробная) дискотека, дансинг с рок-музыкой (дословно что-то вроде: топай-топай или давай-давай). Вывеска "Go-go girls" обычно означает стрип-бар, но найти такие надписи сейчас можно только в глубокой провинции.
Go all the way (to) — заняться сексом и дойти в нем "до конца" (это не каламбур, просто как еще выразиться?). См. All the way (ALL).
Go on (to) — болтать безостановочно, on and on, and on...
Go down (to) — обычно означает просто "случаться", но у уголовников это обычно случай ареста. (К слову "случка" отношения не имеет).
Go down in flames (to) — впечатляющим образом провалиться. У нас бы сказали - с треском, у них говорят - со вспышкой.
Gone (he is) — в отключке (наркотики, алкоголь - что угодно). Дословно - нет его, т. е. по-русски - не в себе.
Go the extra mile (to) — приложить дополнительные усилия.
Go the whole nine yards (to) — сделать все, что только можно. Почему девять ярдов больше, чем миля - одна из загадок загадочной американской души.
Go to hell! — с восклицательным знаком это посыл: "Пошел к черту!" А без восклицательного знака - констатации факта: "Сущий ад", или "Совсем хреново". Для этой типичной ситуации есть еще замечательные выражения: "to go to hell in a handbasket", "to go up in smoke".
Go up — словить кайф от наркотика.
Go up against (to) — имеет значение противостояния, вызова.
Go West — помереть, отправиться на тот свет.
Go South (to) — исчезнуть,сбежать. Понимаете, почему? Они же в Мексику сбегают, если надо! Там кого фиг найдешь. Но при этом "Go Southwest" - просто полететь самолетом компании Southwest.

Go down on (someone) (to) — полный синоним пропагандировавшегося нами ранее выражения "to give head". Выше с "go" шли все нормальные, приличные выражения. Но, как обычно, на плодородном поле языка где-то поблизости таится мина (в смысле коровья лепешка - см. COW CHIPS). Вот и вляпались.(*)
Go fuck yourself! — что бы это могло значить, а? По-русски ведь так и не скажешь. То есть это, конечно, эквивалент нашего самого популярного народного послания, но если сравнивать буквальные смыслы... Вот если хотите, для полноты ощущений, чтобы вам морду в Америке набили, сходите в реднецкий бар (см. REDNECK) и ответьте так на какое-нибудь невинное замечание.Go-getter — пробивной, активный, деловой.
